Rafiki’s associates are highly experienced family and group psychotherapists who have worked in a variety of mental health and human service environments as clinicians, supervisors, managers and trainers. W. Henry Gregory, Jr. Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist with a wealth of experience. He has expertise as a clinician, educator, trainer, consultant and researcher in a number of service areas including substance abuse, HIV/AIDS, criminal justice, juvenile justice, child welfare, school-based mental health, and behavioral health.
Currently
W. Henry Gregory, Jr. Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist with a wealth of experience. He has expertise as a clinician, educator, trainer, consultant and researcher in a number of service areas including substance abuse, HIV/AIDS, criminal justice, juvenile justice, child welfare, school-based mental health, and behavioral health.
Currently, Dr. Gregory is an assistant professor at the University of Maryland, School of Nursing. He also has served as the associate director for the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC), Department of Psychology’s Center for Community Collaboration. He was the Cultural Competence Coordinator for MD CARES a SAMSHA funded system of care and a trainer/mentor for Georgetown University’s, National Center for Cultural Competence.
As a constructivist, Dr. Gregory passionately believes that we create our own destiny by how we think about ourselves and our circumstance. To this end, he believes that a focus on strengths, competencies and resilience will revolutionize the field of mental health.

Maisha Gregory Davis is driven by her passion for the thriving potential that exists within our communities. For more than twenty years, she has shared key social work abilities with families, youth, communities, human services professionals, and organizations that serve vulnerable populations. Her experiences include working directly with children living with severe emotional trauma; young people who engage in risk behaviors from high-risk communities; and families and parents in need of supports and improved skills to stabilize and maintain their family units.
Additionally, Ms. Davis has experiences in community building and public policy, where she has worked with individuals, funders, private providers, and government agencies to mobilize resources and initiate changes necessary to improve the systems that directly affect the lives of families and children in our communities.
